Three Powerpoint Script Analysis
|
Film / TV / Radio
a) style
Tv and Film both use the font, courier new for their scripts with size 12 as this is the universal style for scripts as it is easy to read, however radio on the BBC uses arial and size 12.
Character names, sound effects, lines, and music are the only things you will see on a radio script however, on a film and television script there will also be action lines which you get because the show/film will be boring if the actors just stand there and talk but not move about or have any actions.
Film and TV also both have the dialog 20 spaces into the script however Radio does not have this and just has the dialog lines on the left hand side and not centered.

c) narrative structure
Tommies follows a drama structure which spans across the whole of the radio series. this means that some problems may not be resolved in an episode. This can get listeners to tune in weekly and keep making money for the bbc.
Deadpool has a 3 act structure however in deadpool there are lots of flashbacks and flashforwards. the story is also all told in the film as it has a distinct start middle and end as it is not part of a film series.
Rick and Morty follows the same structure however, the story is resolved in one episode. Some tv shows may carry over the story and continue off from where it ending in the previous episode as a two part or even a series long storyline.
